Leadership and Management final phase

The Commonwealth Africa Anti-Corruption Centre conducted the 2nd phase Leadership and Management training programme from the 5th to 9th September 2016 at the Grand Palm hotel in Gaborone. Participants from Botswana, Cameroon, Lesotho, Mauritius, Namibia, Swaziland, South Africa, and Tanzania attended the course.

The key objective of the course was to impart knowledge and skills of leadership and management to participants. These participants are expected to transfer their learning to the work that they are doing in their respective offices at the end of the two phases. At the beginning of the course, the participants were required to make presentations on the assignment which they were given at the end of the first module. Participants were requested to ‘Apply the leadership concepts at their work place and submit a report highlighting their job descriptions, responsibilities and authority, how they implemented the leadership concepts citing the challenges faced in implementing the leadership concepts and how they overcame them.

Dr. Roger Koranteng from Commonwealth Secretariat and Mr. Joseph Pheto from Jorisma Consulting were the resource persons for the programme.

  • Effective leadership and Management

At the end of the programme, participants were awarded certificates by Ms Daisy Peloewetse, Acting Executive Director, Botswana Public Service College.  The Executive Director of the college is a board member of the CAACC Advisory Board.
